Hi, my name is Jacob Flame and I'm the owner of Jacob Flame's Tang Soo Do. When I was a child, I began my martial arts journey and the positive impact it had on my life was remarkable. It was always my dream to someday own my own school in Newbury Park and create an enjoyable environment for students to improve their fitness while building the confidence they can carry into their everyday lives. The instructors and the staff at TSDU are awesome and Master Flame's teaching techniques keep all the students motivated and captivated. The best martial arts studio for children in the Conejo Valley, bar none. My 5yr old is more focused, listens better both at home and at school, has more self-confidence, and it actually learning how to defend himself too. The best thing they do (and I've never seen it anywhere else) is that in order to earn certain things, the student must have signatures from their parent as well as their teacher at school. So it teaches the student that what they do and how they act outside of the class impacts how well they do in class too. Makes for very well-rounded kids. We will never go anywhere else as long as we live here.
